How can we help you?
Everything you might want to know about custom in-ear monitors, all in one place. Pick one of the topics below, or scroll through the full guide — from taking ear impressions to servicing, from the production flow to frequently asked questions.
Custom In Ear Monitor nedir?
Your ear is as unique as your fingerprint. Standard earphones are built around a single idealised ear shape; custom monitors are designed for you alone.
Custom-made monitors
Each monitor is designed individually for you, giving a 100% fit to the ear, lasting comfort and high isolation. The comfort and sound problems caused by a poor fit disappear.
Neden kulak izi?
Custom production requires knowing the unique shape of your ear. Because PRO-level IEMs need deep ear impressions, they must be taken by a qualified audiologist.
Not an earphone — an "In-Ear Monitor"
A different sound technology from standard earphones. Dedicated drivers for different frequency ranges work together, so you hear music in its finest detail, as if you were in the studio.
Guide to taking ear impressions
Your custom IEMs are built from your ear impressions. An accurate, complete impression is the first condition of a flawless fit. Ear impressions must always be taken by a qualified audiologist at a hearing centre.
Kapsam
The impression must cover the helix, tragus and anti-tragus, and include the entire concha.
Derinlik
The impression must extend to the second bend of the ear canal and be taken with firm impression material.
While the impression is taken
The mouth should be held open with a bite block between the teeth so the jaw doesn't move; the jaw must stay still until the material sets.
Once your impressions have been taken, get in touch with us at [email protected] with your order number, shipment tracking details and the completed forms.

Wait for production
Your monitors are carefully built in around 15 business days.
Production flow
Custom production follows a flow all of its own. At the end of this out-of-the-ordinary process, you get an experience like no other.
Taking the impression
A special silicone injected into the ear sets within minutes to give a negative of the ear; the impressions are then digitised with a 3D scanner.
Design
Our engineers shape the digital impression data for comfort and acoustic performance, following parameters optimised over thousands of builds.
3D production
Production is carried out to a precision of up to 25 microns on CE-certified 3D printers, using resins suitable for contact with skin and mucosa.
Faceplate design
Where a bespoke design is chosen, the faceplates are made by experienced jewellers.
Montaj
Engineers and jewellers work side by side to join the shells and faceplates and complete the finished product.
User guide
Inserting and removing your monitors correctly, and following a few simple rules, matters both for your safety and for their long life.
Hearing safety
These devices can produce up to 120 dB. Turn the volume down before inserting them, and avoid listening at high levels for long periods. If you experience ringing or pain, remove them and consult your doctor.
Liquids and moisture
Avoid contact with liquids. If they get wet, don't use them for 48 hours. When cleaning, take care that no liquid enters the sound bore.
Isolation warning
They provide over 30 dB of sound isolation. Avoid using them while driving, in traffic, or anywhere that requires awareness of your surroundings.
Storage conditions
Storage: between −40°C and +63°C. Recommended use: between −5°C and +45°C. All products are made from CE-certified, biocompatible medical resins.
Before inserting
Mute your audio source completely.
Insert
Turn a quarter turn clockwise to seat the sound outlet in the canal, then rotate gently backwards and press on the faceplate to form a seal.
Route the cable
Run the cable over and behind both ears.
When removing
Pull the top outwards from under the edge of the ear, then rotate gently forwards to release it from the canal. Never pull by the cable.
The cables use standard MMCX (and 2-pin) connectors; push them in until you hear a click. You can use any compatible cable you like.
Servis ve tamir
We build our monitors to last. Even so, if you run into a problem, our service team is here for you.
Not covered: Cables are not covered by the warranty. Misuse, normal wear, damage caused by natural disasters and part replacements fall outside the warranty.
For some users, getting used to how custom monitors feel can take up to a week. Because the human ear changes over time, fit cover runs for a maximum of two years.
Frequently asked questions
Have a question on your mind? We've gathered the ones we're asked most often. If you can't find your answer, don't hesitate to write to us.
Because every part of your monitors is unique to you, all production stages begin once your ear impressions reach us. From that point, production is completed and dispatched within 15 business days.
Our designers can work with almost any file type, though vector graphics are ideal. Images should be as high-resolution as possible, otherwise quality may be lost. Because every faceplate shape is different, the image you send may not always fit the faceplate exactly.
You can see the monitors we've built, and much more, on our social media accounts. We share our work on our Instagram and LinkedIn pages.
Colours may differ in the finished product; the same design can even look different on different screens, and tonal variations can occur in printing. Because every faceplate shape is unique, the orientation of the design and the portion that fits on the faceplate may also vary. These differences in tone and orientation are not covered by the warranty.
Shipments within Türkiye go with UPS, and international shipments with DHL. Shipping costs are covered by us.
Customs charges vary from country to country; taxes other than the shipping cost are not EarFit's responsibility and are payable by the recipient. If an order is held at customs, the customs authority or DHL will contact you directly. EarFit has no control over customs procedures in the destination country; for details, speak to your local customs authority.
All costs of work covered by the warranty are borne by EarFit; however, customs procedures on the return shipment are the customer's responsibility. For work outside the warranty, EarFit reserves the right to invoice any taxes and costs incurred.
You can clean them with a damp cloth. Alcohol-based products can deform the surface and change its colour. While cleaning, take care that no liquid enters the sound bore, as this can damage the drivers.
This is very rare. If it happens, contact [email protected] and send your monitors in. Taxes incurred on the shipment to us are borne by EarFit; those on the return shipment after servicing are payable by the customer.
Cables are not covered by the warranty. However, if you believe the cable wasn't working when your monitors arrived, you can contact [email protected] within 30 days.
EarFit IEMs are built so the cable can be changed easily. Because MMCX and 2-pin connectors are standard types, you can fit any cable you like.
We build monitors to over 95% accuracy from your impressions, so do make sure the guidelines were followed when they were taken. Getting used to the feel of custom monitors can sometimes take more than a week. If the discomfort persists, contact [email protected].
This usually happens when the monitors aren't seated properly in the ear. If the bass returns when you press them in, the shell needs to be rebuilt, which requires you to send new ear impressions. This is free within the first 30 days; after that, a $20 revision fee applies.
All our IEMs are made from biocompatible materials suitable for skin contact and are unaffected by sweat or ear secretions. Take care when inserting and removing them during exercise, and make sure sweat doesn't get into the sound bore.
